THe Process

In bringing back Shady Hollow, I want to stay faithful to the originals. This means I’m not interested in competing with mass produced or modern design surfboards, but rather, go back to the humble origins of Shady Hollow, and produce remastered boards with design elements from the ‘70s and ‘80s.

Each board will be extremely rare, and handcrafted to meet your specifications. I’ll work with you to understand what you’re looking for from a shape and design perspective, so you’ll be an active part of the board’s creation.

Each board starts as a Burford blank and will be carefully shaped to meet the agreed specifications. Both Simon Forward (of 4D Boards) and Ken Reimers will be shaping Shady Hollow remastered boards (there may be a few others if I can talk them into it!) with every one glassed by John Jolly.

I can’t see myself making too many Shady Hollow boards, and will only be doing at most, 2 boards per month. To secure yours, and start the process, please get in touch by filling in your details on the orders page (link in the menu above).
